Mom's 60th Birthday Cake.....Luau inspired

I think she liked it :)

My mom is the most caring, supportive, and wonderful person I know.  This week she will turn 60 so we decided to have family over to celebrate her "big" day.  The girls and I hit the dollar tree and bought a bunch of luau decorations (they had so much to choose from!)  We decided to make a cake with bright flowers and to make each cake layer a different color.  We had BBQ ribs and smoked chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, pasta salad and fruit.  Everything was delicious!!  Despite the clouds, the rain held off and we were able to play some corn hole :)  Overall, we had a great time and the best part is that we were all able to get together!  

Mud Cats T-ball Party

This was the second season that my oldest daughter decided to play t-ball.  Last season was very amusing, as many of the kids played in the dirt or daydreamed while they were in the field.  This season, however, I could really tell a difference in Hailey's abilities.  She hit the ball off the coach's pitch and she could throw the ball so much better.  I enjoyed watching her team this season and can't wait to see how she does next spring :)  

For the team party we made baseball cake pops for each of the players and coaches, and no pun intended, but they were a hit :)
